Trent University offers a beautiful campus with top-notch athletic facilities that make it a perfect location for the first annual Nike Lacrosse Skills Clinic. The Peterborough campus boasts award-winning architecture on 1,450 acres in a breathtaking natural setting on the banks of the Otonabee River, just 90 minutes from downtown Toronto.

Directed by Kevin Sandy, the summer lacrosse skills clinic is designed for beginners to those with aspirations of playing collegiate lacrosse (ages 9-18), and focuses on stick skills, position play, team concepts, and an overall intense level of competition.

Kevin Sandy, Director/CEO, Iroquois Lacrosse Program, facilitate skills development, dry-land training drills, origins of the game teachings and innovative Haudenosaunee skills and drills training techniques to enhance individuals learning and personal skills development.  

Served as Coach, U16 Team Iroquois National team on two separate occasions and General Manager, Iroquois Nationals World Men's Team, winning both silver and bronze medals at the World Games. He has played, managed and coached box and field lacrosse the majority of his life.  

In September 2016, Kevin was awarded the Indigenous Coach Impact Award by the Coaching Association of Ontario. He resides on Six Nations of the Grand River with his wife Sue and two children Aamisk and Menaywaywyn.

Camp Details

At the Nike Lacrosse Clinic our program serves as a great introduction to the basics for beginners as well as a foundation for advanced techniques and concepts for players looking to take their game to the next level. Campers ages 9-18 that are determined to get better this summer will walk away from the Nike Lacrosse Camps with improved stick skills, a higher lacrosse IQ, better overall athleticism, and hours of lacrosse enjoyment!

More Important Camp Details

A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

Check-in takes place at the Turf field at 8:30am Saturday, July 15th. Camp begins at 9:00am. Health/Release Froms must be completed and brought you to camp. Campers cannot be admitted without this form.

Camp ends at 3:00pm each day. There will be a closing ceremony at 12:30pm on Sunday, July 16th.

  • Campers must bring their own lunch each day


Trent University

Trent University installed a new artificial turf athletics field in the summer of 2005. There is seating for 1,000 spectators.
