More Important Camp Details
Nike Sports Camps is offering 9 weeks of Summer Camp at James Gardens. With a focus on Tennis, Soccer, Dodgeball, and more, students will not only learn vital athletic skills but will also have the opportunity to make new friends and have a blast outdoors! James Gardens caters to many sports and camp games that we will play throughout the week.
Dates: Tuesday, July 3rd to Friday, August 31st, 2018 (prices reflect one full week)
Before Care and After Care available 8:00 a.m - 9:00 a.m. & 4:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m.
2018 Summer Camp Dates
July 3-6 (4-day week, pro-rated)
July 30-August 3
August 7-10 (4-day week, pro-rated)
Campers can choose between Full Day (9:00am-4:00pm), Half Day AM (9:00am-12:00pm) and Half Day PM (1:00pm-4:00pm). Please note: All sessions are 5-days long, except for the weeks noted below that are 4-days long.
The Half Day program will consist of multi-sport activities, including a tennis portion, depending on the age and needs of the student. The Full Day program will have a great review of skills with advanced teaching to those students attending. Fresh instructional games will be introduced to ensure students are always challenged. We will be conducting other activities such as dodgeball, capture the flag, arts & crafts, and several other camp activities to help develop creativity and promote play.

Nike Tennis Camps instructors are all experienced and trained tennis professionals that are chosen not just for their extensive teaching backgrounds, but also because of their energetic and positive personalities. Most of our instructors have played tennis competitively and/or have varsity experience. In addition, all Nike Tennis Camps instructors are friendly, patient and excited to teach your child. The best sports experience starts with a great instructor and we promise to provide you with skilled and helpful instructors that will guide your child through their training.

James Gardens is connected to the Humber River pedestrian and cycling trail and is home to broad lawns, nature trails, and the James Gardens Tennis Club. With the use of 4 Hard Courts and the Lawn Bowling Clubhouse in the case of inclement weather, this is the perfect venue to run our camp.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 8am-9am Before Care
- 9am -10am Warm-up, Stroke Technique Intro, Tennis drills and Games
- 10am-10:15 Snack/drink break
- 10:15 - 11am Review skill and incorporate into games or or multi-sport activities (depending on age/court)
- 11am-Noon Cool treat , Cardio sport (soccer, basketball, handball, dodgeball, etc…)
- Noon - 1pm Lunch
- 1pm - 4 pm ** Full-day summer camp schedule will have several new games and advanced skills introduced with similar timing of the day’s activities.
- 4pm-4:15pm Cool-down & Half Day Campers sign-out
- 4pm-6pm After Care
