Coach Paul
Head Coach

Introducing the pickleball pro who's got a passion for paddles and a

knack for laughs - that's me! I'm your go-to pickleball instructor based

in beautiful Burlington, Ontario. With a knack for blending intelligence

and humour, my goal is to make learning pickleball an experience that's

as enjoyable as it is educational.

Certified and always in the know about the latest trends in coaching

and certifications, I'm dedicated to being the best pickleball instructor

in the area. I cater to players of all levels - from beginners just dipping

their toes into the pickleball waters to intermediate players looking to

up their game. And I haven't forgotten about families and kids, because

pickleball is a sport for everyone.

With me, you'll discover that pickleball is super easy to learn and

incredibly fun to play. I'm not your typical instructor; I bring humour to

the court, making sure that every lesson is a good time. Whether it's a

witty remark or a sarcastic quip, there's never a dull moment during

our sessions.

As a certified IPTPA rating specialist and a USAPA level 1 referee, I've

got the credentials to back up my skills. I also have the privilege of

being the head coach at Nike Sports Camps, where I bring my unique

coaching style to eager athletes. But that's not all - I'm also the

president of the Burlington Pickleball Association, actively involved in

growing the pickleball community.

So, if you're looking for an intelligent, casual, funny, and witty pickleball

instructor who's all about enjoying the game while improving your

skills, you've found your match. Join me on the court, and let's embark

on a pickleball adventure like no other!

PICKLEBALL The Selkirk Growth Program: Supporting Nike Pickleball Camp: Selkirk Sport is the market leader in pickleball paddle technology and innovation. One of Selkirk's core missions is to grow the sport and the company is proud to partner with Nike Pickleball Camps to promote pickleball. Selkirk is committed to providing its premier paddles, equipment, and educational resources to the camp's instructors and participants.

Week 1 - Pickleball Fundamentals:

The first step in this grand journey! In Week 1, we'll be diving into the basics. Grip that paddle like it's your ticket to pickleball paradise! We'll cover the sweet science of serving, introduce you to the kitchen (no, not the cooking kind), and teach you to move around the court like a dancing cucumber.

Week 2 - Dink It Like It's Hot:

Welcome to Week 2, where we explore the art of the dink. It's not just a cute word, my friend – it's a strategy! Get ready to finesse your shots, control the pace, and leave your opponents feeling like they're trying to catch a slippery eel.

Week 3 - Smash and Dash:

Week 3 is here, and we're cranking up the energy! It's time to unleash the beast – the smash. Channel your inner power and let those balls fly! But remember, it's not all strength – we'll also fine-tune your footwork so you're dashing around the court like a well-dressed pickleball ninja.

Week 4 - Mind Games and Strategy:

Now we're getting tactical! Week 4 is all about the mind games. We'll explore strategies, mind-boggling angles, and deceptive shots that will leave your opponents scratching their heads. It's like a mental chess match but with more giggles and fewer knights.

Week 5 - The Grand Rally Finale:

Ah, the grand finale! In Week 5, we're putting it all together. You've got the basics, the finesse, the power, and the strategy. Now it's time to rally like there's no tomorrow. We'll practice long rallies, quick reactions, and celebrate your newfound pickleball prowess!
