Nike Sports Camps is proud to announce their first Nike Basketball Camp in Toronto will be taking place over March Break at Havergal College. Nike Basketball Camp is Toronto’s premier basketball camp for young athletes who want to improve and have fun. Players will work on developing the fundamentals of basketball through specialized, age-appropriate drills and game-based play.
Under the direction of Scott Wheler, the camp will run from March 12th - 16th, 2018 and is geared towards campers aged 8-14 years old. Campers will receive expert instruction from top-level coaches who have playing experience at the college, university and professional level. Enjoy learning from special guest speakers with world-wide basketball experience. Campers are encouraged to work hard, play hard, meet new friends and above all have fun! Competition, respect, and good sportsmanship are a few core values young athletes can expect to learn at Nike Basketball Camps.
Coach Wheler has coached basketball for over 20 years at some of Toronto's best schools. As a result, of his many years of experience in coaching both girls and boys teams of all abilities, he knows what it takes to develop the skills necessary to improve each player’s individual skill sets. This coupled with his personal love of the game, propels him to bring out the best in every camper.
Havergal College is home to a double gym and single gym with a climbing wall, change rooms, and a fully marked floor for basketball. An electronically operated divider curtain allows the gym to be split into two separate teaching or activity areas, making Havergal College an unparalleled facility and the perfect venue for aspiring athletes participating in our Nike Basketball Camp.
