Nike Beach Volleyball Camp powered by OnPoint Athletics is live in Windsor for Summer 2026!

Nike Volleyball Camp powered by OnPoint Athletics is excited to invite Campers ages 10 - 15, to experience a Half-Day Camp program at On the Beach in Windsor! These camps are designed to build confidence and have fun!

Camp Weeks:

  • Week 1: June 29 - July 3, 2026 | Setting & Attacking - Half Day Camp: 5 Days: Monday - Friday (including Canada Day)
  • Week 2: August 10 - 14, 2026 | COMPETE! Guided Gameplay - Half Day Camp: 5 Days: Monday - Friday

Week 1: Setting & Attacking

Dive deeper into the art of setting and attacking while learning from high-calibre coaches, becoming a stronger teammate, and developing confidence as an offensive player on the sand. Setting & Attacking Camp is designed for athletes who want to go beyond basic drills and truly improve their ability to create and finish plays in beach volleyball. Through focused training, competitive gameplay, and athlete-centered coaching, players will learn the game, train with purpose, and compete with confidence while gaining a deeper understanding of offensive play in beach volleyball.

Get ready for a week of sun, sand, and focused skill development at Setting & Attacking Camp.

Athletes won't simply rotate through drills and games, Setting & Attacking Camp focuses on helping athletes understand how to create scoring opportunities and execute effectively in real game situations. Athletes will not only improve their technical skills, but will also learn the tactical decision-making, communication, footwork, and offensive strategies that lead to success on the sand.

Led by OnPoint’s experienced coaching staff, athletes will train through structured sessions that focus specifically on the relationship between setting and attacking. Players will learn proper setting technique, movement patterns, communication with their partner, shot selection, and how to score under pressure.

Each day is intentionally designed to help athletes build confidence and consistency as offensive players while developing a deeper understanding of how successful beach volleyball teams generate points.

A key component of the camp is guided gameplay, where athletes will apply what they learn in realistic match scenarios. This allows players to understand when and how to execute offensive skills during competition, helping them become smarter and more effective players.

If you're looking for a camp that focuses on one of the most important partnerships in beach volleyball — the connection between setter and attacker — Setting & Attacking Camp is the perfect place to elevate your game.

Week 2: COMPETE! Guided Gameplay Camp

Beach volleyball is ultimately about competition, strategy, and teamwork. COMPETE! Guided Gameplay Camp is designed for athletes who want to spend more time applying their skills in real match situations while learning how to think, communicate, and compete like high-level players.

Through structured gameplay, coaching feedback, and competitive match scenarios, athletes will learn the game, train with purpose, and compete with confidence while developing their decision-making and game awareness.

Get ready for a week of sun, sand, and high-energy competition at COMPETE! Guided Gameplay Camp.

This camp focuses on learning through play, giving athletes extended opportunities to compete in match scenarios while receiving coaching guidance throughout the process.

Athletes will learn how to read opponents, communicate effectively with their partner, manage momentum, and make smart decisions under pressure.

Led by OnPoint’s experienced coaching staff, gameplay will include structured formats, situational challenges, and competitive ladders designed to maximize learning and enjoyment.By the end of the week, athletes will have gained valuable experience applying their skills in competition while developing the confidence needed to perform during real matches.

Darren O'Neil | Director and Head Coach at OnPoint Beach Volleyball

Hi, my name is Darren, and I’m the Director and Head of Coach and Athlete Development at OnPoint Beach Volleyball. I grew up playing basketball, baseball and indoor volleyball, but at age 19 I started playing beach volleyball and instantly fell in love with the sport! I’ve spent most of my life since then in the sand. It’s where I met my wife and it’s even where I proposed to her. There’s so much that I love about this sport: the hyper-competitive environment where at times a game to 15 will decide your tournament fate, getting to choose the partner you spend most of your summer with, no subs so you’re always in the action, spending all summer long on the beach.

But more than anything now, I love being a mentor to young athletes. In 2017, I decided to start a small beach volleyball camp in Kingsville, Ontario. I wanted to have an impact on my community and create an opportunity for my kids that I didn’t have at their age. The goal has been to encourage kids in Windsor-Essex to develop into strong, world-class athletes on the beach. Ten seasons later, OnPoint continues to grow to become so much more.

On the Court:

  • Head of Athlete and Coach Development, OnPoint Beach Volleyball 2017 – Present
  • Head Coach, World 21U Championships in Thailand 2021
  • Head Coach, Team Ontario (Red and Black) 2016 – 2021
  • Head Coach, World 21U Championships in Thailand 2019
  • Assistant Coach, World 19U Championships in Cyprus 2016
  • Head Coach, South County Bandits Indoor 2024-Present
  • Head Coach, Sky Volley Indoor 2017-Present
  • Co-director, Kitchener-Waterloo Predators Beach Program 2013-2016
  • Head Coach, Kitchener-Waterloo Predators Indoor 2011-2016
  • Team Ontario Beach Assistant Coach 2014
  • Child & Youth Worker, Ray of Hope & Genest Youth Detention Centres 2008-2016

Off the Court:

When I’m not coaching or playing beach volleyball, you might find me at home playing with my three kids or watching football. My favourite-post game grub is a Mango Chicken Burrito from Burrito Bandidos, although now I only get to enjoy them when I’m at the Beaches in Toronto! When I look back at my coaching career so far, my favourite moment is when the 2018 Jr. Girls Team won WECSSAA missing 5 of 7 starters, eventually moving on to win SWOSSAA too! On the beach, my favourite memories have been the relationships that I have developed with athletes and coaches along the way.
