Nike Baseball Camp hosted by the Kelowna Falcons

Join us for the first-ever Nike Baseball Camp in Kelowna, hosted by the Kelowna Falcons and led by Head Coach Gregg Zaun. This exciting new camp offers young athletes the rare opportunity to learn from a professional coaching staff that includes former Toronto Blue Jays players, bringing real Major League experience directly to the field. This 3 Day Camp will take place July 14 - 16, 2026.

Camp instruction is led by former Major League and professional players Gregg Zaun, Josh Towers, and Graig Merritt, who bring decades of professional playing and coaching experience to the field.

Designed for players ages 9–13 with some organized baseball experience, this camp focuses on building strong fundamentals while helping athletes develop confidence, game awareness, and advanced skills. Held at historic Elks Stadium, campers will train in a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment while learning the same techniques used at the professional level.

Gregg Zaun
Camp Director

Gregg Zaun: Head Coach of Kelowna Falcons

Gregg Zaun brings a wealth of professional baseball experience to the field as a 16-year MLB veteran who appeared in more than 1,200 Major League games. A World Series Champion, Zaun played for nine MLB organizations, including five seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, where he became a fan favourite for his leadership and competitiveness behind the plate.

Following his playing career, Zaun transitioned into the media as a respected MLB analyst with Sportsnet, providing expert insight on the game. He has also remained active in professional baseball, managing professionally in both the United States and Mexico, and is currently the Head Coach of the Kelowna Falcons.

With decades of experience at the highest levels of baseball, Coach Zaun is passionate about teaching the fundamentals, mindset, and work ethic required to help players develop and succeed in the game.

Josh Towers
Coach

Josh Towers: Pitching Coach Kelowna Falcons

Josh Towers is a former Major League pitcher with eight seasons of MLB experience, appearing in 139 games with the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, and New York Yankees. Known for his competitiveness and command on the mound, Towers delivered a standout season in 2006 with Toronto, recording 13 wins while throwing more than 200 innings, establishing himself as a reliable front-line starter.

A World Series Champion, Towers has remained deeply involved in the game following his playing career. He previously served as a Minor League Pitching Coach with the New York Mets organization and is currently the Pitching Coach for the Kelowna Falcons, where he works closely with developing pitchers and emerging talent.

With extensive experience both on the mound and in the dugout, Coach Towers brings elite-level pitching insight, professional experience, and player development expertise to athletes looking to elevate their game.

Graig Merritt: Coach

Graig Merritt brings extensive professional and coaching experience to the camp. A longtime leader within the West Coast League, Graig has helped develop many collegiate players and understands what it takes to progress through the game. His passion for player development and teaching fundamentals helps create a positive and productive learning environment for campers.

Greg Lakovic: Coach

Gregg brings years of professional playing and coaching experience to the field. Known for his strong emphasis on fundamentals, player development, and game awareness, Greg has worked with athletes at multiple levels of the game. His positive coaching style and attention to detail help players improve their skills, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of the game.
