For the 2026 Summer Program in Bracebridge, we’ve taken the time to listen to families, reflect on past camps, and build on what the community told us worked well while improving the areas that needed attention. With a strong group of returning campers and a wide age range, we’ve adapted the curriculum to better serve both new and returning athletes. Sessions are led by experienced coaches who focus on teaching the game the right way from the start, with an emphasis on shooting, footwork, spacing, and decision making. Players will also be introduced to spatial, situational, and timing awareness in ways that are simple, engaging, and easy to apply during games.
To ensure quality instruction, the camp is capped at 35 athletes, allowing for meaningful feedback and consistent attention from coaches. The program keeps the balance families value most: structured, purposeful development combined with an energetic and positive environment. Skills are broken down step by step, reinforced through quality repetitions, and applied in guided game situations so athletes learn how to use what they practice. The goal is simple. Players leave more confident, more skilled, and better prepared for the next stage of their basketball journey.
Summer 2026 Camp Dates: Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 24, 2026
The Play Maker Camp focuses on helping athletes understand how to control the game with the ball in their hands. Players will work on decision making, passing angles, dribble control, and reading defenders in real time. Through small sided games and guided situations, athletes learn how to create opportunities for themselves and their teammates while improving their ability to see the floor. Emphasis is placed on spacing, timing, and communication so players develop the confidence and awareness needed to lead on the court. This week is ideal for athletes who want to become smarter, more effective creators within a team offense.
Provide campers with the highest possible educational value for every athlete in the gym. Our focus is on the quality of instruction and the learning environment, not simply staffing numbers. Players will be coached by experienced university level coaches and players who understand the game at a high level and can clearly teach movement, decision making, and shooting concepts that translate to real competition.
Rather than relying on younger counselors or peer level coaches, our camps are intentionally structured to give athletes access to strong teaching voices, clear demonstrations, and consistent feedback throughout the week. This approach allows players to ask better questions, see the game through a more advanced lens, and gain insight they would not receive in a typical camp setting.
Safety, supervision, and organization remain a top priority, but our belief is that meaningful development comes from learning directly from proven teachers and high-level players. Our goal is to create an environment that is focused, supportive, and inspiring, where athletes feel confident, challenged, and excited to learn.
