Coach Brandon

Brandon is a professional skills trainer with 17 years experience.  Brandon has trained thousands of players across Atlantic Canada and most notably Nate Darling, Lindell Wigginton and, fresh off signing a G-League contract, Kellen Tynes.  Brandon has also coached at the highest levels, spending time on the bench with the Saint Mary’s Huskies, the Holland Hurricanes and Basketball NS Men’s Team where he was a part of the gold medal squad in 2015.

Neil Smith

Neil Smith has been involved in shaping the game in New Brunswick for over 40 years.  Coach Smith is an NCCP Level 3 Certified Instructor, Evaluator and Coach.  He was the technical director for Basketball NB for 12 years.  Last season, Coach Smith led the Miramichi Hericanes to their first ever MWBA title.  He also led his alma matter, the MHS Purple Knight boys program to their first and only NBIAA title in 2022.  

Coach Smith was recently named Basketball New Brunswick’s U17 boys head coach.  This team will compete at Canada Basketball Nationals this summer.  Coach Smiths passion is being on the floor with the athletes where he’s an expert at guiding players to reach their full potential in the game.

Nate Horsman

Nate Horsman is a dedicated basketball executive and coach based in Moncton, New Brunswick, serving as the Managing Partner of TH Sports Group and 506 Elite Basketball. Committed to bridging the gap between grassroots participation and elite competition, Nate oversees one of the region’s fastest-growing youth organizations with a focus on long-term athlete development.

His leadership extends to the court as the Head Coach of the 506 Elite Academy Senior Girls and the Basketball New Brunswick U17 Girls Provincial Team. Through these roles, Nate acts as a vital community builder, expanding access to high-performance training and facilities to help retain and develop top talent across Atlantic Canada.

Orlando Palmer is the Owner of Maritime Progression NB Inc. as well as a NCCP certified coach whom coached Bernice Macnaughton to the championship game at Harbour Station as well as the semi finals. Orlando has an 80% win percent in New Brunswick. Orlando is passionate about development and helping athletes get to the furthest level possible.

Orlando played and graduated from Fleming College, Sheridan College and Holland College before going overseas for a pro tour in Harlem Amsterdam. After the pro tour he travelled to Saint John where he played for the Saint John Riptide. Just last June Orlando travelled to China for a professional basketball tour where he made even more connections and learned more skills and drills that benefit training. Orlando has a wide range of knowledge and connections having grown up in Toronto competing against what has become NBA talent.
