2026 Summer Nike Basketball Camp at Maple Hills Moncton Kia Centre

Join us this summer for the Nike Basketball Camp at the Maple Hills Moncton Kia Centre—an exciting and development-focused experience for athletes of all skill levels.

This camp is designed for players ages 8–17 and offers age-appropriate, skill-based training to meet athletes where they are in their development. Throughout the week, campers will work on all aspects of the game, including fundamentals, shooting, ball handling, attacking the basket, boxing out, and making smart offensive and defensive reads. Our goal is to help each athlete grow in confidence, improve their skills, and become a more complete basketball player.

Whether preparing for house league, school teams, or competitive play, this camp provides valuable experience, expert coaching, and a positive environment that encourages growth and enjoyment of the game.

Camp Details:

All sessions are 5-day camps running from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Head Coach

Nate Horsman

Nate Horsman is a dedicated basketball executive and coach based in Moncton, New Brunswick, serving as the Managing Partner of TH Sports Group and 506 Elite Basketball. Committed to bridging the gap between grassroots participation and elite competition, Nate oversees one of the region’s fastest-growing youth organizations with a focus on long-term athlete development.

His leadership extends to the court as the Head Coach of the 506 Elite Academy Senior Girls and the Basketball New Brunswick U17 Girls Provincial Team. Through these roles, Nate acts as a vital community builder, expanding access to high-performance training and facilities to help retain and develop top talent across Atlantic Canada.

Neil Smith
Coach

Neil Smith

Neil Smith has been involved in shaping the game in New Brunswick for over 40 years.  Coach Smith is an NCCP Level 3 Certified Instructor, Evaluator and Coach.  He was the technical director for Basketball NB for 12 years.  Last season, Coach Smith led the Miramichi Hericanes to their first ever MWBA title.  He also led his alma matter, the MHS Purple Knight boys program to their first and only NBIAA title in 2022.  

Coach Smith was recently named Basketball New Brunswick’s U17 boys head coach.  This team will compete at Canada Basketball Nationals this summer.  Coach Smiths passion is being on the floor with the athletes where he’s an expert at guiding players to reach their full potential in the game.

Coach Ben Mowat: Western Women’s Basketball Coach | Performance Analyst

Ben Mowat is a dedicated basketball coach and technical strategist with a deep commitment to player development and elite-level performance. Currently serving as a Coach and Performance Analyst for Western Women’s Basketball, Ben leverages data-driven insights and tactical expertise to elevate the game on and off the court.

Ben’s extensive coaching resume spans several high-performance environments, including:

  • Basketball New Brunswick: Ben has served as the U17 Women’s Performance Analyst Coach and the U15 Assistant Coach, contributing to the provincial growth of the sport and the development of top-tier female athletes.
  • 506 Elite: Ben has been apart of the Sr. Academy , as a Assistant Coach, where he helps lead the next generation of players through intensive skill training and competitive preparation.

Zach Dool

Zach Dool: Coach at Nike Basketball Camp Moncton | Student-Athlete Profile

Zach Dool is a standout defensive anchor for the St. Thomas University (STU) Tommies. Known for his elite court vision and relentless defensive pressure, Dool has quickly become a cornerstone of the Tommies' roster, helping lead the program to the 2025-26 ACAA Championship title.

Collegiate Career (St. Thomas University)

  • 2025-26 STU Defensive Player of the Year: Recognized as the premier defender for the Tommies, tasked with shutting down the opposition's top scoring threats.
  • 2024-25 STU Rookie of the Year: Made an immediate impact in his debut collegiate season, earning the team’s top freshman honor.

Prep & National Experience

Before joining the collegiate ranks, Dool developed his game at the elite prep level and on the national stage:

  • Rothesay Netherwood School (RNS): Played three seasons for the RNS  prep team, competing against some of the top high school talent in North America.
  • Team New Brunswick: Represented his province at the 2022 U17 National Championships, where his performance earned him Second Team All-Canadian honors.

Price: Full Day $379 + TAX

Times: Full Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Ages: Ages 8 - 17, Co-Ed | Campers will be divided into 2 age groups (please ensure you register for the appropriate age group).

  • Age Group 2: 13 -17

Skill Level: All Skill Levels

*A one time $35 Registration Fee is charged once per camper, per year. Exceptions may apply.
