Coach Guiam's passion for teaching began 15 years ago, over which time he has ran camps, clinics, and workshops throughout Canada and Asia. As a former basketball player and coach at the college level and semi-pro level he too focuses and prides on skill development for all ages, as he strongly believes in improving players both on and off the court should start. He too has worked with many NCAA and Pro level athletes like Andrew Nicholson (Orlando Magic), Jevohn Shepherd (University of Michigan), Mike Fraser (Overseas), Jamal Reynolds (NBDL), Brandon Tull (Spain), Ajahmo Clarke (NBDL), Gabe Osabuohien (Arkansas), Shakur Daniels (Southern Miss.), Kevin Thomas (Troy University), and Jonathan Tull (Central Connecticut).

I grew up in London, Ontario born into an athletic family where my dad played semi-professional soccer for Trinidad and Tobago and my mother a star high school track star and two older sisters who were all-star athletes the pressure was on.  I played basketball, volleyball and track & field all through high school, collecting MVPs and breaking records in each sport, but my favourite was basketball – I enjoyed the team atmosphere and the constant action on the court.  Through playing OBA basketball with the London Steelers I was able to secure a basketball scholarship to Ohio State University.  My NCAA basketball career was short lived with a broken ankle injury, but I continued to be a team member courtside and graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a minor degree in accounting.

I am now a basketball coach, referee and organize opportunities for girls to become involved in playing basketball.  Just trying to give back and provide the same opportunities that I received.

Origin Hoops is a successful basketball training and  development company in Ontario. The company was established in 2016 and produced numerous of athletes which have won championships at the division one level.

Coach Clive has also been very successful competing in the United States and winning numerous championships at various AAU tournaments. From 2014-2016 his AAU basketball teams won Championships all over North America including the Las Vegas Fab 48.

Coach Daniel brings over 25 years of experience in the areas of basketball and recruitment, he strives to develop your student athlete characteristics both on and off the court.

Coach Daniel prides on skill development for all ages, as he strongly believes in improving players both on and off the court should start in your early stages of development. He is excited to have Origin Hoops as an affiliate of the Nike Basketball Camps.
