Get ready for an unforgettable summer of basketball, energy, and development at the Nike Basketball Camp at Kings Court Pickering! Powered by MPG Sports Co, this premier camp experience is designed for athletes of all skill levels looking to improve their game, build confidence, and compete in a fun, positive, and high-energy environment.

Under the leadership of Camp Director Coach Mark and the experienced MPG Sports Co coaching staff, campers will receive elite instruction focused on skill development, basketball IQ, athletic performance, teamwork, and leadership. Known for delivering exciting and impactful youth sports programming across Ontario, MPG Sports Co creates an atmosphere where athletes are encouraged to challenge themselves, work hard, and grow both on and off the court.

Whether your athlete is just beginning their basketball journey or preparing for competitive play, our coaches are committed to helping every camper develop their skills while building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love for the game.

Campers will enjoy a week filled with structured training stations, exciting competitions, gameplay, team challenges, and skill-building activities designed to maximize learning and fun every single day.

Mark Guiam
Camp Director

Coach Guiam's passion for teaching began 15 years ago, over which time he has ran camps, clinics, and workshops throughout Canada and Asia. As a former basketball player and coach at the college level and semi-pro level he too focuses and prides on skill development for all ages, as he strongly believes in improving players both on and off the court should start. He too has worked with many NCAA and Pro level athletes like Andrew Nicholson (Orlando Magic), Jevohn Shepherd (University of Michigan), Mike Fraser (Overseas), Jamal Reynolds (NBDL), Brandon Tull (Spain), Ajahmo Clarke (NBDL), Gabe Osabuohien (Arkansas), Shakur Daniels (Southern Miss.), Kevin Thomas (Troy University), and Jonathan Tull (Central Connecticut).

Nkosi Adams
Head Coach

Nkosi Adams brings over 25 years of experience in athletics, youth mentorship, and community leadership. A passionate advocate for sport as a vehicle for personal growth and social change, Nkosi has dedicated his life to developing opportunities for young athletes across Ontario.

A standout multi-sport athlete in his youth, Nkosi focused on basketball, captaining Pickering High School to five consecutive LOSSA Championships and earning the Mr. Basketball Award. He later played at Centennial College before transitioning into coaching and program development. Nkosi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Brock University and diplomas in Social Work and Recreation/Leisure from Centennial College.

In 2003, he founded the Durham City Basketball Association (DCBA), one of the largest youth basketball clubs in Ontario. Under his leadership, DCBA has produced numerous provincial champions and helped hundreds of athletes advance to post-secondary programs.

Nkosi has held leadership roles at every level of the sport. He served as a coach at Pickering High School and Centennial College, as well as a Senior Advisor with the Oshawa Power in the National Basketball League of Canada. In 2016, he was appointed head coach of the University of Toronto Mississauga’s new basketball program, where he built a competitive and culturally strong team in just three years.

His commitment to youth extends beyond the court. For over 15 years, Nkosi worked as a Youth Probation Officer, developing individualized case plans and providing court advocacy and motivational counseling to at-risk youth. In recognition of his outstanding volunteer work, he received the Pinnacle Award from Ontario’s Ministry of Children and Youth Services in 2012.

In 2019, Nkosi helped establish the basketball program at Royal Crown Academic School as Director of Basketball Operations & Athletics. In 2021, he launched KO Athletics & Consulting and founded C.O.D.E. Sports Academy (Chasing Our Dreams Everyday), a unique academic-athletic initiative designed to prepare student-athletes for success in school and elite competition.

Nkosi’s work bridges athletics, education, social services, and community engagement. Known for his integrity, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to youth development, he continues to empower young people to chase their dreams and unlock their full potential.

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 8:30AM- 9:00AM-  Check in/ Attendances
  • 9:10AM- Morning Huddle and warm up- Coaches Introduction/ Rules
  • 9:30AM- Offensive skills stations- dribbling, passing, shooting, etc
  • 10:30AM-  Snack Break
  • 10:45AM- Defensive skills stations- slides, close outs, recovery, help side, etc
  • 12:00PM- 1:00PM- Lunch
  • 1:00PM- Attendance/ Roll Cal
  • 1:05PM- Shooting Focus- fundamentals, form, stance, release, use fun games
  • 2:30PM- 3vs3 and or Scrimmage
  • 3:00PM- Snack Break  
  • 3:15PM- Stations: Offense and Defense
  • 3:50PM-4:00PM- Parent Pick Up- Campers  depart- verify and check off attendance sheet

Prices:  

  • Full Day: $379 + HST
  • Half Day: $279 + HST

Times:

  • Full Day: Times: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • AM Half Day: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • PM Half Day: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Ages: 5 - 15, Co-Ed, all skill levels

*A one time $35 Registration Fee is charged once per camper, per year. Exceptions may apply.

Extended Care option:

  • Before and After Care times: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM / 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Before and After Care price: (Weekly) $100 + HST for AM only or PM only options, OR $200 + HST for BOTH (Combo)
