1 Day Clinics on July 14 and July 16 at St. Margaret's Center!

The Nike Girls Basketball Camp, July 14 2026, led by National Team athlete and professional basketball player Daneesha Provo, offers an elite training experience designed to help athletes, ages 13-15, elevate their game. With NCAA Division I, professional, and National Team experience, players will develop their skills, confidence, and basketball IQ through high-level instruction, competition, and mentorship. This is more than a camp it's an opportunity to learn from one of Canada's top female athletes and take your game to the next level.

At the Nike Boys Basketball Camp Nova Scotia on July 16, 2026, players ages 12-14, will train with high-performance athletes who have competed at the highest levels of the game the  Led by Canadian National Team athlete and professional basketball player Daneesha Provo, alongside university basketball player Keyonte Beals. This elite camp is designed to help athletes, develop their skills, basketball IQ, confidence, and competitive mindset. Through advanced skill development, game situations, competitive play, and mentorship, players will learn firsthand what it takes to succeed at the next level and maximize their potential on and off the court.

Daneesha Provo | Founder DPCBA & Nike Sports Camps Camp Director

A proud native of North Preston, Daneesha’s journey is one of resilience and purpose. At just 14 years old, she left home to chase her basketball dreams, earning an academic scholarship to attend Kent Preparatory School in Connecticut (one of the top boarding schools in the United States). There, she became the all-time leading scorer with over 1,782 career points, laying the foundation for an extraordinary career.

She went on to play NCAA Division I basketball at the University of Utah, where she earned two degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science (Child Life) and Sociology with a minor in Disabilities Studies. Her success on the court and in the classroom made her one of Atlantic Canada’s most accomplished athletes and student leaders.

As the founder and CEO of the Daneesha Provo Canadian Basketball Academy (DPCBA), Daneesha is a former professional basketball player who represented Team Canada from 2013 to 2018 and was selected to the Olympic team trials roster, but was unable to compete due to a torn achilles tear she did in practice.. Through her academy, she has turned her passion for basketball into a powerful platform for empowering young women using the game as a connector for leadership, education, mentorship, and personal growth across Atlantic Canada.

Her professional basketball career has taken her around the world competing in Germany, Greece, Spain, China, and Australia, and traveling to more than 20 countries through the opportunities basketball has given her.

Despite facing career-changing injuries  including an ACL tear in 2019 and an Achilles tear in 2021, just two weeks before the Olympics ,Daneesha turned every setback into a setup for something greater. Out of adversity, she built a movement that inspires young athletes to chase their dreams and never give up.

Today, Daneesha is not only a professional athlete, national team member, and entrepreneur, but also a motivational speaker, mentor, and community leader. Her story continues to uplift youth, athletes, and audiences everywhere  teaching the power of hard work, and purpose.
