Join Nike Flag Football Camps at Markham Sports Dome during Summer 2026! Experience the ultimate field hockey training experience at the Nike Field Hockey Camp for Ages 10–14. Held on state-of-the-art infill turf fields, our camp provides the perfect environment for players to develop their skills, learn from the best, and have a blast on the field.

Led by coaches who have competed in university level, our camp offers a unique opportunity for young athletes to receive top-notch training from those who know what it takes to succeed. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, our coaches will work with you to enhance your technique, improve your game intelligence, and unleash your full potential.

Every camper will receive a Nike Sports Camps T-shirt along with other exciting Nike prizes, adding to the excitement of the camp experience. Additionally, campers will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure that each participant receives personalized attention and instruction tailored to their individual needs.

With a low camper-to-instructor ratio of 10:1 on the field, you can be sure that you'll receive the attention and support you need to thrive. Our coaches are dedicated to helping you improve your skills, build confidence, and take your game to the next level — all while having an unforgettable summer field hockey experience.

Coaches

Matt Zaikos
Camp Director

Matt Zaikos has been coaching soccer in Australia, USA, and Canada for over 11 years now. He has coached at many local clubs around the GTA and has helped many young athletes into the Toronto FC Academy program, NDC Program and Provincial Program. He has run many camps in Indiana and Ohio. Matt has also helped coach both the women’s and men’s goalkeepers at Brock University. In addition to coaching, Zaikos serves as the starting goalkeeper and captain of the Darby League 1 Men’s team for 6 years now and has been named as one of the top goalkeepers in the league. Matt has played professionally in Australia, and has also represented Team Canada in Taiwan in the FISU Summer University Games and also helped Team Canada qualify for the AMF Futsal World Cup in Mexico. He also played 3 years in USA on a NCAA scholarship before finishing and graduating from Brock University and leading the league in saves and named top goalkeeper in OUA.

Zaikos holds a National Youth Canada Soccer GK License, Ontario Soccer Goalkeeper Coaching Certificate,  NSCAA Goalkeeping Coaching Certificate and his Ontario Soccer C-License.

Equipment

Please bring your own Field hockey stick, shin guards, mouthguard, and indoor turf shoes or cleats

Skill Development

Campers can expect focused instruction on fundamental field hockey skills such as shooting, passing, stick handling, and formations. Specialized drills and training sessions aim to improve individual and team performance.

Conditioning and Fitness

Physical conditioning is often a part of the program, focusing on improving players' endurance, strength, speed, and agility.

Sportsmanship and Team Building

Emphasis is usually placed on sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership skills. Camps may include team-building activities to foster a positive and inclusive environment.

Nike Field Hockey Camps prepare athletes with basic technical skill development and gameplay. Coaches and staff will provide instruction to meet the needs of the individual to improve their skills and enjoyment of the game.

Meals / Hydration

For Full-Day athletes, please bring a packed NUT-FREE lunch. Campers need:

2 healthy snacks if you are Full Day

1 healthy snack for Half Day

Also, bring a water bottle.

Camp Check-in (Full-Day and Half-Day AM): 9:00 AM

Camp Check-out (Half-Day AM): Between 11:45 AM – 12:00 PM

Camp Check-out (Full-Day & Half Day PM): Between 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM

*A one time $35 Registration Fee is charged once per camper, per year. Exceptions may apply.

Location Note: Nike Flag Field Hockey Camp takes place inside the dome and is not an outdoor camp.

Extended Care (Optional)

  • Before Care (8:00am - 9:00am) = $50 + HST/week
  • After Care (4:00pm - 6:00pm) = $100 + HST/week
  • COMBO for both Before & After Care = $115 + HST/week

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
