Girls Nike Basketball Clinic is coming to Saskatoon for Fall 2026!

Take your game to the next level at the Nike Girls Basketball Clinic powered by OverTop Hoops. This first-of-its-kind Nike Basketball experience in Saskatoon is designed for female athletes, ages 13- 17, who are serious about developing their skills, improving their confidence, and preparing for the upcoming high school and club basketball seasons.

Over five hours of high-energy training, athletes will take part in advanced skill development sessions, position-specific instruction, competitive small-sided games, shooting and finishing drills, decision-making exercises, and game-play situations led by experienced, high-performance coaches.

Whether you're looking to make your school team, earn more playing time, or elevate your performance heading into club season, this camp offers an opportunity to learn in a challenging and supportive environment alongside other motivated athletes. This camp provides athletes and families with the chance to get involved from the very beginning of a program focused on long-term athlete development, high-quality coaching, and creating more opportunities for basketball players across Saskatchewan. Carly Ahlstrom
Head Coach

Carly Ahlstrom is one of the most accomplished basketball athletes to come through the University of Saskatchewan Huskies program. A Calgary native, Ahlstrom enjoyed an outstanding collegiate career with the Huskies, helping lead the team to multiple Canada West Championships and a U SPORTS National Championship while establishing herself as one of the premier players in Canadian university basketball. She was recognized as the Canada West Player of the Year and a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian, while also earning Academic All-Canadian honours throughout her university career.

Known for her leadership, basketball IQ, and ability to perform in big moments, Ahlstrom represented Canada internationally with both the U18 National Team and the Junior National 3x3 program.

As Head Coach of the Nike Basketball Prep Camp, Carly is passionate about helping young athletes build confidence, master fundamental skills, and develop the habits necessary to succeed at the next level. Her coaching approach combines technical skill development, game-speed application, and individualized feedback to create an environment where athletes can challenge themselves, improve, and develop a greater love for the game.

Whether athletes are preparing for high school tryouts, club basketball, or long-term player development, Carly brings elite playing experience, proven leadership, and a passion for mentorship to every session.

Dylan Mortensen
Camp Director

Dylan Mortensen: Camp Director, Coach (Opposite & Middle)

Dylan Mortensen brings elite playing experience, high-performance coaching insight, and strong leadership to OverTop Volley’s programming in Saskatchewan. A former University of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s volleyball athlete and professional player, Dylan now serves as an assistant coach with the Huskie men’s volleyball program, where he continues to work daily in a high-performance university environment. His ongoing involvement at the USask level allows him to stay closely connected to the standards, systems, and expectations of post-secondary volleyball, which he intentionally integrates into OverTop Volley’s training model.

Dylan is deeply involved in running operations throughout Saskatchewan during the school year, helping design programming, coach development, and athlete pathways. He brings a professional approach to training sessions, emphasizing technical detail, competitive habits, and mental resilience. Dylan is especially passionate about helping underdog athletes navigate their own development journeys, drawing from his own path through university and professional volleyball. His goal is to bridge the gap between grassroots volleyball and high-performance environments, giving athletes a clear vision of what it takes to progress to the next level while creating a culture that is demanding, supportive, and driven by growth.

MORNING SESSION | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

9:00 – 9:20 AM Registration & Athlete Check-In Camp check-in, welcome, meet coaches and athletes, and overview of the day's schedule and objectives
9:20 – 9:40 AM Dynamic Warm-Up & Competitive Games Dynamic stretching, movement preparation, athletic development and competitive games
9:40 – 10:20 AM Skill Session #1: Technical Foundations Basketball fundamentals, proper technique, footwork and mechanics with small-group instruction and coach feedback
10:20 – 11:00 AM Skill Session #2: Applied Skill Development Faster-paced drills, decision-making and applying technical skills under game-like conditions with individual coaching
11:00 – 11:30 AM Skill Session #3: Competitive Game Situations Combining skills through small-sided games and situational play with an emphasis on basketball IQ, communication and execution
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM Mental Performance & Recovery Recovery, confidence and competitive mindset, plus Coach Carly's insights on handling pressure, high school and club tryouts, making strong first impressions and putting your best foot forward during evaluations
