Ellery Platts
Head Coach

Ellery Platts | Head Coach Nike Multi-Sport Camp at Ambrose University

Ellery Platts is a champion athlete, a natural leader, and — above all — someone who genuinely loves helping young people discover the joy of sport. As a multi-sport competitor herself, Ellery brings a rare breadth of athletic experience to the Nike Multi-Sport Camp, making her equally at home whether she's teaching teamwork on the field, coordination on the court, or confidence in any arena.

A two-time university team captain, Ellery knows what it means to lead — and she carries that energy into every session she runs. Her competitive career spanned multiple sports at the varsity and national level, earning her championship titles and all-conference recognition along the way. That range isn't just impressive on paper; it means she understands how athletic skills transfer across sports, and she has a gift for meeting young athletes exactly where they are.

Beyond her playing days, Ellery has earned national-level officiating certification — a mark of her deep understanding of rules, fairness, and sportsmanship. She has also coached at the high school level, where her patience, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with kids have made a lasting impact on the athletes she works with.

As a proud member of the Ambrose University Athletic Staff, Ellery is passionate about building confident, resilient young athletes who love to move, compete, and grow. Whether your child is a seasoned player or brand new to sport, they are in excellent hands.

CAMP DETAILS

Effective player-to-coach ratios and positive reinforcement ensure that each palyer improves at her or his own pace while having a blast! This is simply about instilling the passion of the game.

WHY PHYSICAL LITERACY MATTERS

Physical literacy — the ability to move with confidence, joy, and purpose — is one of the most important gifts we can give a child. At Lions Multi-Sport Rec Camp, every session is intentionally designed to build movement skills across multiple sports and activities.

Children who develop physical literacy are more active for life, more confident in their bodies, better equipped to handle challenges, and more connected to their peers. We believe sport is one of the greatest classrooms on earth — and this camp is built around that belief.

COACHED BY THE REAL LIONS

This camp was designed and developed by Ambrose University varsity head coaches and sessions on the court and field are delivered directly by those same head coaches and actual Ambrose Lions varsity athletes.

Your child will not just hear about university sport. They will experience it, learn from it, and be inspired by the people who live it every single day. This is direct, on-court access to elite university coaches and players — and there is nothing quite like it available to young athletes in Calgary this summer.

A UNIVERSITY CAMPUS LIKE NO OTHER

Ambrose University is one of Calgary's most intimate and welcoming campuses, small enough to feel like home, big enough to feel like a real university experience. For four days, your child will walk the same hallways, play in the same gym, and share the same spaces as the Ambrose Lions varsity teams.

It is a place of higher learning, warm community, and for this summer it will be serious fun. We are proud to open our campus to the next generation of athletes, thinkers, and creators. Come see what it feels like to be a Lion.
