Directors / Coaches

Suzana Cavalcante - Tennis Camp Director
Camp Director

Suzana Cavalcante is a highly certified tennis coach (coach 2, CP3 in progress), former high-level competitor, and national champion in padel tennis—a fast-growing racquet sport that demands elite athleticism, precision, and strategy. She has served for several years as the lead facilitator for the Instructor Course in Alberta and is currently helping deliver the CP1 certification course for Tennis Alberta.

Suzana is deeply passionate about mentoring the next generation of professionals, and this year she led the first-ever all-female Instructor Course certification in Alberta, a milestone in advancing women’s leadership in tennis.

At the Osten & Victor Alberta Tennis Centre, her previous club, she also spearheaded the She Can Play initiative, creating pathways for young girls to thrive in sport.
Suzana believes in building players as much as building strong, resilient bodies.

She is excited to introduce functional training sessions at IQ designed specifically for tennis players—combining strength, HIIT, agility, balance, and endurance work to boost performance, prevent injuries, and prepare athletes for the physical demands of the sport.

Suzana is also a certified Cardio Tennis instructor, delivering high-energy group fitness that blends tennis with aerobic and anaerobic conditioning through structured warm-ups, games, and cool-downs—an offering she expects will become highly popular with club participants.
Now serving as Tennis Director at IQ Tennis & Pickleball Centre, Suzana combines her competitive background, proven coaching expertise, and holistic vision for player development.

She is committed to introducing innovative pathways to produce tennis champions, working alongside an expert team of coaches to grow the game and build a thriving tennis community.
