Philosophy

“I have an attack-minded approach to the game of soccer. I can’t however translate my ideas onto the pitch if I don’t have strong communication with my players. This strong communication with my players is in the processes that form the tactical structures of the teams I coach. Without this type of communication, it is impossible for me and the staff to be transformational in our coaching methodology. I enjoy coaching players who are looking to improve any facet in the beautiful game,I love to be there for them and share ideas. Soccer is the most subjective sport in the world, and due to this I encourage feedback with players after every session as it helps me understand their points of view both in the positive and constructive elements of the game. I am, and forever will be in love with this game, and I hope that my love and enthusiasm for this game rubs off on the players. I’m there to serve the players while they do their bit in a collective process of playing this game beautifully whilst highlighting their own special and individual talents.”

Ryan Page
Coach

Ryan believes in the continued pursuit of methods to engage, educate & guide the development of all players while keeping the game fun at all costs. We prepare young players for their next step/level in soccer and life by nurturing intrinsic motivation/drive, preserving individual creative strengths and cultivating an environment which fosters young leadership qualities & candidates for the future.

Philosophy, General Approach & Goals:

Create an environment where players are engaged & invested in their development. Prioritize the individual philosophy described below, encourage autonomy and nurture young leadership qualities.

Introduce an understanding of Tactics, even at a young age, with age appropriate expectations (develop a basic understanding of tactics & team concepts)

Encourage individual competitiveness. Provide players with consistent feedback and progress reports so that they can “compete” with their former “self.” Engage players in Goal Setting & Game Reflection exercises in order to outline a pathway for progress individually and as a “team.”

Individual Coaching Philosophy & Goals:

Develop Capable & Quality People we can be Proud of.

Inspire a Lifelong Love and Participation in the Sport of Soccer.

Produce & Prepare players for their next level of competition, fulfilling each individual’s potential. For many, the goal is to play Secondary (High School) and/or Post Secondary (College and/or University).

Provide perspective of individual limitations and ways in which small groups can overcome; 1 + 1 = 3.

Integrate players into a team environment where inter-connectivity of players’ physical & mental attributes can be strengthened, with individuals becoming selfless & willing to work/sacrifice for Team.
