Nike Soccer Girls High Performance Camp Brentwood College School

Brentwood College School and Nike Soccer Camps are teaming up to offer a high-performance Girls Spring Break Camp in Mill Bay, British Columbia. Perfect for players aged 13 to 16 that are keen to train, focus and develop as young soccer players. The week will have an 11 aside tactical focus combined with individual concepts that relate to the full field game. Whether you are a central defender that is looking to learn how to play out the back better, a holding midfielder that wants to know how to control the midfield or an attacking central midfielder that wants to attack and create goal-scoring chances, this is the camp for you! We will focus on team tactics as well as individual positions, including how to apply these tactics when you return to your own playing environments.

High Performance Camp Highlights

  • Full 11 aside game play
  • Classroom session's related to full field concepts and positioning
  • Team tactics and full field shape
  • Understanding different full field shapes (4-3-3, 3-4-3, 4-2-3-1)
  • Crossing and shooting Day! (great for goalies and players)

Born and raised in Richmond BC, Wesley is going into his 4th year at Brentwood and 3rd year as head of soccer. He moved over to Victoria at 19 to go to the University of Victoria to pursue his post-secondary education and play Varsity Soccer for the Vikes. Wesley played soccer for the Vikes from 2008-2013. The highlight of his university career was winning the National Championship on home soil in 2011. He finished a degree in Recreation and Health in May of 2015. Wesley has spent the last 10 years coaching soccer, mostly in Victoria and the lower mainland. Wesley co-founded an organization called EPIC Sport Management Society and he continues to run and facilitate EPIC while working at Brentwood. Within EPIC Wesley is now the Head Coach and Franchise Owner of Vancouver Island Football Club (VIFC). VIFC competes in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) in the spring/summer months which Is a semi-pro women's league right below the Pro Women's League (NWSL). Wesley has a very close connection to a multitude of Canadian University soccer programs."

High Performance camp on Grass field- full 11 aside grass field; Open Spring/Summer camp on Turf field - training artificial turf field

We want players to experience enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment that comes from skill development and the pursuit of excellence. As a result, we are committed to providing players with the skills and tools to achieve their goals.

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
