SCC Partners with Josiah Morra

Sports Camps Canada is excited to announce a new partnership with Canadian national team athlete Josiah Morra, who will lead his first Nike Rugby Camp in Toronto this winter. The collaboration combines over ten years of international playing experience with a shared goal of growing rugby for young athletes across the GTA.

A Toronto native, Josiah made his national team debut at 18 and has since competed at the Pan Am Games (silver medal), Commonwealth Games, Rugby 7s World Cup, and professionally in the MLR with the Miami Sharks and New England Free Jacks. Despite his global career, he has always returned home to support youth rugby development.

Last summer, Josiah hosted a clinic in Toronto for over 70 players, sparking enthusiasm for more opportunities. “What excites me most about working with Sports Camps Canada is the chance to grow the game across the GTA,” he said.

Josiah’s coaching style is energetic, competitive, and fun, with a focus on fundamentals to build confidence and understanding. Campers can expect a fast-paced environment, speed and conditioning training modeled on Team Canada routines, and even a chance to receive some of Josiah’s old rugby gear.

He hopes participants leave not only more skilled but inspired. “No one gets overlooked at my camps. Everyone gets attention and support, no matter their level,” Josiah said. He also wants to encourage more young people to try rugby and build excitement for the sport in Toronto.

As he prepares for the upcoming Canada 7s season, Josiah shares a guiding message: “Play like it is your last. You never know when your time will end, so always leave everything on the field.” He hopes the camp will help young athletes finish the year on a high note.
